Basics
We’re not completely sure, but we know that things will be different from previous years. At present, we are planning for an on-site major reunion, but we are assuming that our plans may need to change. Given the University’s visitor policy, we know that alumni and guests must abide by vaccination requirements in order to attend in person.
As May 2022 approaches, we can expect that there are likely to be restrictions on campus access, a need to wear face masks, limits on University building access, and how many people will be allowed to congregate at the 25th. Additionally, these policies may also affect our ability to provide meals and arrange for on-campus housing. These policies are being reviewed regularly and may be updated at any time. As soon as we know more, we will be certain to update you via this reunions website.
We understand that you may have many questions about the 25th Reunion. We’re working to find answers as quickly as we can. Please provide feedback regarding what we can do to help by submitting a question on our Help Page.
Glad you asked! We have a nifty page dedicated just for that. We will be in touch soon – thanks!
There will be three categories of cost for Class members who participate in our 25th Reunion:
- 25th Class Jacket
- On sale now, via the 1997 Store
- We have past our factor order date, so all purchases are now final, while supplies last
- Jackets cost $375 each
- Registration Fees
- Visit our Registration information page for details
- Full Weekend:
- Adults cost $499 (Early-Bird)
- Children cost $150 (Early-Bird)
- Costs are slightly lower for Saturday-only
- Early Bird Pricing ends March 1, 2022
- Travel / Housing costs
- Hotel or other accommodations (see Housing page for options and costs)
- Air Transportation (varies)
- Rental cars
We understand that for many Class members, especially those with families, this is a non-trivial expense. We are making every effort to keep costs in check and expect that our pricing will be consistent with the last in-person 25th Reunion for the Class of 1994 back in 2019.
It is our desire to welcome as many 1997 members to our 25th Reunion as possible. To ensure the largest gathering possible, we will provide financial assistance for members of the Class (guests and children are not included). To learn more, please contact Jonathan Mendelson ’97. Your identity will not be shared with anyone else in the Class nor with the University.
Housing
During registration, you may optionally purchase on-campus or Rider University beds during Registration (order through our Registration system). Some beds will be located at nearby Rider University ($200 each) and another set of beds will be available on Princeton campus ($150 each). See Housing for more details.
We expect that beds will sell out quickly, so register early. Given the limited supply, you must register for a 3-Day (full weekend) package on a first-come, first-served basis to order a bed.
Jackets
We’re glad you asked! Though it is still early in the manufacturing process, our expert team has put together preview of our design. And there’s much more in store – stay tuned!
Make sure to purchase your jacket now because prices go up on January 1st. We’ve also revised our sizing instructions to add new options that make it easier for you to determine the correct size.
We must ensure that our 25th Reunion jackets are received in Princeton prior to May 2022 to make certain that we are able to properly inventory and prepare them for distribution when 1997 members arrive on campus.
Given the unpredictability of manufacturing and supply chains worldwide, we are already concerned about meeting this date and are taking steps to plan ahead. This means that we need to obtain the count and size distribution from the Class as soon as possible to ensure that we obtain custom materials such as fabrics and buttons in the correct quantities so that the jackets are assembled on schedule. It takes considerable time and expertise to create a quality garment and missing components could cause delays for the entire shipment. We must also navigate other complications, such as holiday periods in various world regions, that could conflict with our manufacturing and shipping schedule, potentially further delaying arrival of the shipment to Princeton.
In parallel, the University has asked us to delay registration for the 25th Reunion while we assess the health, safety, and logistical challenges of hosting a large-scale event on campus during the pandemic. Since the lead time for the jackets doesn’t change either way, there is no other option than to sell jackets now and then ask you to register for the Reunion later. Thank you for your understanding.
To start, we recommend that you review our jacket sizing page.
Our class jacket is a modern fit blazer, true to size through the shoulders and chest. Fits for men are similar to Ralph Lauren or Banana Republic. The fit for women is similar to J Crew. If you prefer a roomier jacket, go up a size for comfort.
- Remember, you will have this jacket for a long time, so if you’re concerned that your size may fluctuate over the years, you may want to consider buying an extra jacket now.
- We do not recommend letting it out in the waist or sleeves.
- If you plan to eventually tailor your jacket, it is much better to order a larger size and take it in.
- If you don’t see your size in the dropdown, choose “Other,” proceed with your order, and we will contact you.
- If you’re not sure or think you’re between sizes, size up. When it comes to sizing, “making smaller” (i.e. shortening a sleeve or taking in a jacket) is a walk in the park compared to “making bigger” (i.e. letting out a jacket). In fact, it is virtually impossible to increase dimensions of a garment that is too small because there isn’t much (if any) fabric hiding inside the seams.
If you’d like additional assistance regarding jacket ordering, please reach out to us.

We understand that plans may change and you may not be able to pick up your Class Jacket at Reunions 2022 as planned. If so, we will need you to pay for the additional shipping fee a la carte. You can do so using the links below based upon your delivery address:
- U.S. and Territories ($30)
- International ($50)
We will use your address on this new shipping order as the destination (please use the notes to specify a different address from the billing address). You may ignore the text in the orange box about selecting Post-Reunions Delivery – does not apply to this item.
Registration
Normally, we would plan to open registration for a major reunion in the late fall. However, for the 2022 Reunions cycle, we are opening registration on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. EST (5:00 p.m. PST) to allow us more time to assess and handle contingencies related to the pandemic. Thank you for your understanding.
