How to Determine Your Size
We understand that you may not know how to find the right size for your Class Jacket. Select one of the three measurement options below which best fits your situation.
- (Recommended) If you have a blazer that fits well, we recommend you take your own garment measurements based upon this existing article of clothing.
- If you don’t have a blazer that fits well, then visit a tailor/seamstress or anyone who does alterations and ask them to take your measurements.
- If you prefer, you may also measure your body directly.
If you are still unable to find your size or have had a problem buying jackets in the past, please place an order anyway and select the “Other” option on the dropdown. Someone from our 1997 Store Support Team will contact you directly.
Women
The women’s Class Jacket will be a fitted blazer similar to J.Crew’s single-breasted, classic fit blazer. Please bear in mind that our Class Jacket will be a modern trim fit blazer, so if you want to have a roomy jacket, go up a size for comfort.
Please do not order a size just because it’s your normal size. This sizing scale may not be reflective of what you are used to wearing, so please work from measurements.
Choose the instructions that best fit your needs:
Find my size by measuring a jacket/blazer that you own and fits well (Women)
Find my size by measuring my body directly (Women)
Whichever measurement method you choose, please keep the following in mind:
- This is a modern trim fit blazer, so go up a size for comfort if you prefer a roomy jacket.
- Remember, you will have this jacket for a long time, so plan for the future when sizing your jacket. If you’re concerned that your size may fluctuate over time, consider buying an extra jacket during the registration process.
- If you plan to tailor your jacket, it is much better to order a larger size and take it in. There is some extra fabric at the seams inside the jackets, so while it’s possible to let out the jacket on the sides and lengthen the sleeves, we don’t recommend it.
Men
The men’s Class Jacket will be a fitted blazer similar to Ralph Lauren or Banana Republic so if you want to have a roomy jacket, go up a size for comfort.
Please do not order a size just because it’s your normal size. This is a custom sizing scale for our jackets and may not be reflective of what you are used to wearing, so please work from measurements.

Please keep the following in mind:
- This is a modern trim fit blazer, so if you prefer a roomy jacket, go up a size for comfort. For example, if you generally buy a standard fit suit in 40 Reg, we might suggest ordering a 42 Reg for your 25th reunion jacket.
